The Hedge Fund Book by Richard C. Wilson - A Book Retelling Series
I just finished reading “The Hedge Fund Book: A Training Manual for Professionals and Capital-Raising Executives” by Richard C. Wilson. And I wanted to share what I learned from it in a way that actually makes sense to normal people.
Here’s the thing about hedge fund books. Most of them are either super academic or written for people who already know everything. This one is different. Wilson wrote it as a practical training manual, pulling advice from real hedge fund managers and industry pros.
What This Book Is About
Richard Wilson spent years working in the hedge fund industry. He started with a currency trading internship in Europe, worked his way through third-party marketing, and eventually launched his own firm. Along the way, he built HedgeFundBlogger.com (the most visited hedge fund website at the time) and grew the Hedge Fund Group to over 30,000 members.
This book is basically him collecting all the lessons he learned and combining them with interviews from other industry veterans. Think of it as getting advice from dozens of hedge fund pros without having to buy them all dinner.
